About Dottie

Dottie grew up in Chicago, left home to attend Purdue University and ended up moving to St. Simons Island, Georgia shortly after graduation. It is here where she raised her family and pursued a career in Interior Design. It was only after her three daughters left home that she turned to her interest in oil painting. It was love at first brush stroke.   Since then she has studied with several local artists and has also participated in painting workshops in Italy, Ireland and most recently in Provence.   Dottie draws her inspiration from the landscapes near her home, her family and her travels.
